One morning, Jacob and his parents. went to the animal shelter together. They were going to get a pet dog for Jacob. When Jacob and his parents reached the animal shelter, they were greeted by a stoff. The lady introduced herself as Elaine.
Elaine brought them around the shelter. Jacob was surprised to see many animals at the shelter. There were dogs, cats and rabbits. Jacob felt sad for the animals. Some of them were strays while others were abandoned by their owners.
Then, Jacob walked past a cage with a dog in it. The dog barked excitedly when it saw Jacob approaching. Jacob squatted till he was at eye-level with the dog. He put out his hand and the dog licked it enthusiastically.
Jacob grinned. He told his parents that that was the dog he was going to get. When Elaine brought out the dog for Jacob, it nuzzled against his legs. "You are all mine now," said Jacob as he stroked the dog. "I'm going to name you 'Frankie'," he said.
