A Birthday Celebration
Mrs Sharma's birthday was approaching. She was our form teacher. Our class decided to plan a surprise party for her.
We were very excited on the day itself All of us reached school early that morning. First, we brought out the birthday cake that we had chipped in to buy. Next, we decorated the classroom with banners and balloons. We also wrote the words 'Happy Birthday, Mrs Sharma' on the whiteboard.
Just before Mrs Sharma came to the classroom, we switched off all the lights in the classroom and hid under the tables. We all held our breath as we waited for Mrs Sharma to come. The air was thick with anticipation.
When Mrs Sharma opened the door, - We emerged from our hiding place. As our Class monitor lit the candles on the cake, We started to sing a birthday song for Mrs Sharma. She was so touched that there were tears in her eyes. Mrs Sharma thanked all of us for the warm gesture. She then cut and divided the cake among everyone. All of us enjoyed ourselves thoroughly that day.
