A Prank

Evan glanced around the corridor outside his classroom. He had planned to carry out his secret mission when everyone was at the canteen during recess. After making sure that the coast was clear, Evan sneaked into the class room.

 

Evan took out a huge scary-looking rubber spider from his pocket. As Evan placed it in Lily's bag, he sniggered at the thought of how she would react when she saw it. Then, Evan quietly slipped out of the classroom again. When the bell for recess rang, he proceeded to the classroom with the rest of his classmates.

 

The next period was English. Mrs Lee told the class to take out their English textbooks. As Lily took out her textbook, her hand brushed against the fake spider. Lily let out a loud scream when she saw what it was. Evan covered his mouth to stop himself from laughing out loud. Mrs Lee had to take Lily out of the classroom to calm her down.

 

When Evan saw how shaken Lily was, however, he started to feel remorseful. His prank no longer seemed funny. After the lesson ended, Evan confessed to Lily that he was the culprit responsible for the prank and asked for her forgiveness. He promised never to play any pranks again. Lily handed Evan the rubber spider and said, "Make sure you remember your promise."
